ECI's shop employees are the best in the business.  The quality of the workmanship is astounding.  The following is a list of qualifications that ECI is looking for in a shop employee (these are not different jobs, they are what most of our shop employees are capable of):

Incoming Parts Inspection

You should be able to take a list of materials and determine whether ECI has received the correct parts.

Panel Layout/Assembly (required)

Using drills, saws, punches, and a tape measure; you will be required to perform panel layout and assembly work (taking a bare steel panel door, for example, and cutting all of the proper holes in it to mount components such as lights, switches, and meters).  This job function also applies to bolting switchgear lineups up and assembling copper bus work as well.

Wireman (required)

You will be responsible for complete panel wiring.

Fork Truck/Crane Operator (you will be trained)

This will be useful to learn.

Nameplate Engraving Machine Operator (you will be trained)

Just another feather in your cap if you master it.

Copper Bus Working (not required, but a plus)

You'll have some of the best in the business to learn from, if you're interested.

Welding Experience (not required, but a plus)

The welding that we do is not very complicated.

Field Service Assistance (very rare, but a big plus)

Occasionally, we would like to be able to count on your help in the field.  It doesn't happen very often.  Its nice to see how your panels operate in the real world.
